I watched him walk down the long driveway and get into the truck from my bedroom window. It was the time of morning when the sun wasn't up yet but the sky was still lit.
I didn't say goodbye, it would've been too hard. At years old I was daddy's little girl, and it destroyed me to watch him go. I moved away from the window and sat on the edge of my bed, while tears fell down my cheeks. I listened as the truck drove away.
Within a couple of minutes my mom came in and put her arm around my shoulder. I shrugged it off. This was all her fault, she made him go and I hated her
